Our story

Inspired by Hidden Figures, built for Cameroon

Hidden No More Cameroon (HNM237) is a non-profit, secular association founded in 2018 by Persis Mbangsi and a group of dynamic female engineers. Inspired by the film Hidden Figures, we shine a light on Cameroonian women and girls excelling in STEM fields — countering cultural barriers and underrepresentation.

Every woman we spotlight, every student we mentor, is proof that talent in technical fields has always been there — it simply needed to be seen.

What we do

Goals & activities

Three ways we make Cameroonian women in STEM impossible to overlook.

Celebrate Achievements

Spotlighting hidden female role models and pioneers in male-dominated technical fields.

Mentorship Networks

Building active mentoring pools connecting university and college women in STEM with younger peers.

Educational Outreach

Running boot camps, school workshops and engagement programs to inspire students toward technical careers.

Why it matters

Representation isn't a bonus — it's the point.

When a girl sees a Cameroonian woman leading in engineering, science or technology, a career she never imagined becomes possible.
